By The Power Vested In Me…
“I now pronounce you husband and wife”
I never thought I’d say those words but lo and behold, this past Saturday I performed my first and best marriage ceremony to date. Adam Kim and Kimberly Brass were united on May 19 and I had the honor of performing the ceremony. I had known Kim since 2000 way back when I started campus ministry here @ Western…
It was one of the more relaxed, fun weddings I have been to. The food was marvelous (Adam’s family owns Osaka restaurant here on Northwest Rd.) and the reception was pretty cool (they had a Vegas theme) so I got to try my hand at the poker table and won the first 2 or 3 hands. After that I slowly bled my chips out until going all in with a Queen/Ace and losing to a guy with two pairs. Still I had a good time. It was a good hand to go all in with.
But most of all, it was an awesome experience to perform this ceremony. Reviewing the vows as I practiced was kind of moving experience, and I realize that now, after 5 years of marriage how much more than ever I love and respect my wife.. happy for Kim and Adam and can’t wait to see them soon and do “life together” alongside them.
Congrats to Adam and Kim!

It was one of the most beautiful wedding i’ve been too…has it been 5 years already?? i guess time flies when you are having a good time..hahahah
